The first impression, and sometimes the only impression, your customer has of you and your company is through a telephone conversation.  Professionalism on the phone can move the prospect forward towards the final sale.  Likewise, lack of professionalism can do just the opposite.  Proper phone etiquette is very important.  Our success in the area of telephone skills, like everything else we do, is often dependent upon understanding the basics and then executing those skills properly, over and over again.
